Arthritis Foundation- Patrick McGlade will begin the ultimate cross-country run from the Pacific Ocean shores of Huntington Beach, California, along a southern route to Tybee Island, Georgia on the Atlantic Ocean.  Patrick McGlade will begin the ultimate cross-country run from the Pacific Ocean shores of Huntington Beach, California, along a southern route to Tybee Island, Georgia on the Atlantic Ocean. Covering 2,400 miles, McGlade plans to run on average a marathon a day in approximately four months to honor children everywhere living with arthritis. His 15-year-old cousin, Mia, has juvenile arthritis. Patrick McGlade, a 21-year-old ultra-marathon runner, and recent graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, will run coast to coast across the United States to benefit the Arthritis Foundation. Mikayla Minnig is 10 years old and is in the fifth grade. After ten months of pain and being barely able to move, Mikayla was diagnosed with pauciarticular juvenile rheumatoid arthritis when she was 3 years old. Mikayla Minnig testifed Wednesday, March 18 about JA before the House Appropriations Committee, Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education. Mikayla’s spoken testimony focused on her story on behalf of the nearly 300,000 other children with JA and she discussed the need for more JA research at NIH. Anaitté Vaccaro Creating A Virtual Indoor Cycling Experience



Listen in and hear how Anaitté Vaccaro creates magic while spinning!  Thrill-seeking, adventure-loving fitness fans (ages 14 and up) are invited to jump in the saddle and take off into a whole new world with RIDE!, Southern California’s First Virtual Indoor Cycling Experience on Sunday, November 8 from 10:00am to 5:00pm at the Avalon Hollywood nightclub at 1735 N. Vine Street.

Imagine more than 100 riders on rows and rows of stationary bikes surrounded by lights, music and large projection screens inside the cutting-edge Avalon nightclub in Hollywood. Southern California’s most sought-after cycling instructors take turns up on stage, working in sync with the lights and the music to guide the adrenalin-filled participants on an exhilarating, energizing virtual journey through lush rainforests, misty mountains, deserted beaches, city lights, surreality.

“RIDE! is going to be like no other cycling or athletic experience you’ve ever had,” says Anaitté Vaccaro, an award-winning digital scenographer and the creator-producer of this one-of-a-kind event. “It’s a total sensory immersion, transporting you to exotic new environments while the lights and the music and these fabulous instructors inspire you to work your body in a way you’ve never done before.
