Listen in and hear how Anaitté Vaccaro creates magic while spinning!  Thrill-seeking, adventure-loving fitness fans (ages 14 and up) are invited to jump in the saddle and take off into a whole new world with RIDE!, Southern California’s First Virtual Indoor Cycling Experience on Sunday, November 8 from 10:00am to 5:00pm at the Avalon Hollywood nightclub at 1735 N. Vine Street.

Imagine more than 100 riders on rows and rows of stationary bikes surrounded by lights, music and large projection screens inside the cutting-edge Avalon nightclub in Hollywood. Southern California’s most sought-after cycling instructors take turns up on stage, working in sync with the lights and the music to guide the adrenalin-filled participants on an exhilarating, energizing virtual journey through lush rainforests, misty mountains, deserted beaches, city lights, surreality.

“RIDE! is going to be like no other cycling or athletic experience you’ve ever had,” says Anaitté Vaccaro, an award-winning digital scenographer and the creator-producer of this one-of-a-kind event. “It’s a total sensory immersion, transporting you to exotic new environments while the lights and the music and these fabulous instructors inspire you to work your body in a way you’ve never done before. I promise: You’ll be a different person after it’s over!”

The mind-bending—and body-challenging—event features eight different indoor cycling sessions with the most acclaimed instructors from Los Angeles, South Pasadena, Montrose, Sherman Oaks, Santa Monica and Newport Beach

"Skateboarding Saved My Life" and Lanre Can Save Yours...

Joel Jimenez
recently got promoted to full-time status as the Marsh Skate Park Supervisor. Joel, who has lived in the neighborhood his whole life, has been looking forward to the opening of the skate park which was much needed for the kids in this area. Ever since it’s grand opening in September 2007, Joel has been skating there daily and later hired to supervise the park.

Joel feels incredibly privileged to be doing what he loves, and has been a great mentor with the kids who skate there. Together, they are working on fundraiser ideas in order to install additional equipment to further improve the skate park.
